On 29 Mar 13 Sgt. Smeeks and Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Watson Lane in Belpre. Involving a father and his thirteen year old son, the brief altercation was the result of a disagreement over the television and other family issues. A witness confirmed that the father did not harm his son and only held him to the floor in an effort to calm him down. As a result, Deputy Reeder closed this case as unfounded.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Zachary Lee Jones, age 27, 2105 Miller Avenue, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Jones was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Cook of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Mar 13 at 8:00 pm.

Joshua Andrew Nuzum, age 27, 1338 Indiana Avenue, Logan, OH, for criminal damaging, a misdemeanor. Nuzum was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Mar 13 at 9:40 pm.

Benjamin David Rutter, age 33, 840 Muskingum River Road, Marietta, for OVI and driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Rutter was arrested on Waterford Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Mar 13 at 6:25 pm.
