On 25 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Newport
Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire outside the residence
of Misty D. Murphy, age 42, at 62 Charles Street, Newport. The
fire erupted approximately twenty minutes after Ms. Murphy parked
the vehicle and caused severe damage to the front of the 1998
Buick. The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
On 25 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by theft. At some
point during the night the teenager entered his sister’s
locked bedroom and stole a Strattera pill, then stole his father’s
mobile phone and fled from the home.
On 25 Mar 13 David W. Madison, age 41, 135
Mill Street, Waterford, reported when his former girlfriend
and her son moved out of his home he believes they stole five
of his tattoo guns and various inks. The value of the stolen
items is approximately $575. This case remains under investigation
Office received the following warrants:
Eldris S. Hall, age 35, 710 E. Montgomery Street,
Marietta, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail
on 18 Mar 13.
Ronald D. Burgess, age 31, Elderberry Lane,
Hewitt, WV, for failing to appear for pretrial on 20 Mar 13.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Karly Marie Hall, age 20, 4406 17th Street,
Parkersburg, for operating a vehicle without a license and for
failing to obey the right of way, both misdemeanors. Hall was
arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 25 Mar 13 at 12:14 pm.
Keith Allen Drake, age 26, 829 Ridge Street,
Marietta, for tampering with evidence, a felony. Drake was picked
up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Mar 13 at
Brian Joseph Isner II, age 26, 108 Oakview
Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Isner was arrested at the office of Probation Officer
P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 25 Mar 13 at 5:00 pm.
Judith Arline Shaffer, age 63, 72 Digger Road,
Belleville, WV, for domestic violence and assault, both misdemeanors.
Shaffer was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Newell of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Mar 13 at 9:25 pm.
