On 16 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Heath T. Blair, age 18, 2491 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler, for traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy McPeek stopped Mr. Blair near milepost seven on State Route 555 in Decatur Township.

On 16 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff Huffer issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct to Neal D. Groves, age 46, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 4A, New Matamoras , and Jasmine N. Headley, age 26, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 4B. For the second time in as many days, Deputies responded to the apartment complex due to reports from Mr. Groves and Ms. Headley that they were being harassed by the other party. Advised the previous day to avoid contact with each other, Mr. Groves and Ms. Headley continued to initiate contact and annoy the other.

On 16 Mar 13 Lt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder and the Fearing, Little Muskingum and Reno fire departments responded to a barn fire at 9390 State Route 26, Marietta. The fire completely engulfed the barn and led to the deaths of twenty-four goats housed in the barn. The fire appears to have originated in the heating element of one of four heating lamps being used in the barn. No foul play is suspected.

On 16 Mar 13 Amber Rhodes, age 28, 1894 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, reported at some point during the past ten days an unknown suspect(s) stole a youth FSN brand ATV from outside her home. This case remains under investigation (126).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jonathan Gregory Bowersock, age 22, 703 33rd Street, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Bowersock was arrested in Belpre by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Mar 13 at 3:33 am.
