On 2 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter responded to a loud dispute at the residence of Marsha Smith, age 43, at 15147 State Route 26, Reno. Ms. Smith and another resident in the home were intoxicated and arguing over the fact that they are being evicted from their home because they are behind on their rent. Both parties concurred that the incident was only verbal and no physical violence occurred. Ms. Smith agreed to spend the rest of the evening elsewhere in order to avoid further problems (126).

On 2 Mar 13 the Salem Fire Department transported a twenty-six year old Lowell resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment following a suicide attempt. After an argument with his girlfriend the victim ingested over a dozen Neurontin pills. He is expected to recover fully (610, 1090).

On 2 Mar 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested Matthew G. Schafer, age 34, 445 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Heavily intoxicated and growing aggressive, Mr. Schafer was arguing with other residents in the home because they would not allow him to drive his vehicle. When Deputy McPeek questioned him about the incident, Mr. Schafer began the first of two boisterous rants about the government. On 2 Mar 13 an employee of Sponey’s IGA, 411 Fifth Street, Beverly, reported an irate and intoxicated man was refusing to leave the store. Roger D. Clevenger, age 52, 19483 McFarland Road, Macksburg, was angry that the store would not cash a check because he did not have proper identification and began yelling and cursing. Mr. Clevenger refused to obey the orders of Sgt. Anderson and struggled as Sgt. Anderson attempted to remove him from the backseat of a taxi. Finally, after being tasered twice, Mr. Clevenger exited the vehicle. As a result of the incident, Sgt. Anderson arrested Mr. Clevenger for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail. In his state of intoxication, Mr. Clevenger was barely able to stand and unable to submit to a BAC test.
