On 25 Feb 13 the owner of Triple H Storage, 40 Brooks Lane, Lowell, reported he placed an additional lock on a storage unit after the unit’s renter failed to pay his rent for four consecutive months. The owner subsequently noticed both his lock and the renter’s lock were missing from the unit. Viewing security footage, the owner observed the renter removing a jet ski, an ATV, a dirt bike and other items from the unit and driving away with them on a trailer. Charges against the suspect will be filed by Sgt. Anderson in the near future.

On 25 Feb 13 Josh Motley, age 25, 21 Maple Lane, Belpre, reported sometime between 2 pm and 4:30 pm an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered his home and stole a number of items. Taken from the home were two large televisions, a Playstation 3, three handguns, a lockbox and three shotguns. The total value of the stolen items is in excess of $4,000. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 25 Feb 13 Deputy Sheriff Reeder arrested Joseph R. Fox, age 32, 9556 State Route 550, Vincent, for trafficking in marijuana. A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of State Route 550 and State Route 7, Mr. Fox attempted to conceal a backpack in the back seat. Prompted to search the vehicle by the strong odor of marijuana, Sgt. Smeeks and Deputy Reeder discovered the backpack, which contained three plastic bags of marijuana with a total mass of 111.31 grams. Mr. Fox admitted purchasing marijuana and repacking it for sale but would not divulge the source of the marijuana. The Deputies also confiscated $270 from Mr. Fox, which is believed to be proceeds from the sale of marijuana.

On 25 Feb 13 Deputy Sheriff Metts responded to the scene of death of a sixty-one year old Belpre resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Adam Corey Abbott, age 23, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Abbott was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 11:45 am.

Joshua Eugene Taylor, age 31, 735 Seventh Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Taylor was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 1:05 pm.

James David Warner, age 31, 616 ½ Second Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Warner was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 1:50 pm.

Drew Mackenzie Marshall, age 22, 408 Fifth Street, Lowell, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Marshall was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 2:05 pm.

Aaron Robert Fulton, age 26, 205 E. Montgomery Street Apt. B, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Fulton was picked up in Fairfield County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 3:30 pm.

Drew Steven Baldwin, age 19, 507 N. Ninth Street, Cambridge, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Baldwin was picked up at the Guernsey County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 3:30 pm.

Ashlee Nicole Haught, age 20, 708 Montgomery Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Haught turned herself in to Lt. Gherke at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 7:36 pm.

Abby Lynne Roach, age 19, 804 Fourth Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of theft and misdemeanor charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and obstructing official business. Roach was arrested on Acme Street by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 7:54 pm.

Reginald Ricardo Crenshaw, age 19, 3921 Colony Road, Cleveland, for operating a vehicle without a license, a misdemeanor. Crenshaw was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 13 at 10:10 pm.
