Archive of 02-18-13

On 18 Feb 13 the owner of Douglas Construction, 30 Douglas Drive, Parkersburg, reported at some point during the past three days a backhoe bucket, old steel building studs and scrap wire were stolen from a jobsite at Porterfield Baptist Church at 39 Hollywood Drive, Little Hocking. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 18 Feb 13 Earl O. Totten, age 68, 614 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, reported he was watching television when he heard on a scanner that the Little Hocking Fire Department was responding to a vehicle fire near his home. Looking outside, Mr. Totten noticed the vehicle on fire belonged to him and was parked in his driveway. Mr. Totten said the 1998 Dodge had mechanical problems and was engulfed in flames when the fire department arrived. The fire was extinguished without further incident (1007).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brandon Paul Johnson, age 34, 5141 Lee Row Apt. 102, Maple Heights, OH, for speeding and for being in possession of an open container of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 13 at 4:39 pm.

Michael Lee Barker, age 24, 825 Lynn Street, Parkersburg, for theft, a misdemeanor. Barker was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 13 at 11:47 pm.
