On 16 Feb 13 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested
Brian D. Bates, age 36, 19891 Everly Road, Sarahsville, OH,
for burglary and assault. In the early morning hours, Mr. Bates
entered and fell asleep in an unoccupied motor home at 40 McGrath
Road, Macksburg, which is the residence of David Stanley, age
45, and his wife. When Mr. Stanley and other family members
confronted Mr. Bates he became belligerent and combative. Mr.
Bates fought with the property owners and had to be tasered
by Deputies to gain his compliance. Mr. Bates appeared heavily
intoxicated and continued to be defiant while being transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 16 Feb 13 Clint R. Carpenter, age 30, 12405
County Road 9, New Matamoras, reported sometime between midnight
and 8 am an unknown suspect(s) stole a Honda street and trail
motorcycle from the end of his driveway. This case remains under
investigation (1010).
On 16 Feb 13 Lt. Gherke and the Dunham Fire
Department responded to a garage fire on the property of Garry
L. Marks, age 55, at 100 Lake Road, Belpre. Mr. Marks and his
son were working in the garage when they observed smoke around
the chimney of a wood burning stove. The fire was quickly extinguished
and caused only minor damage.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dacia Whitney Radabaugh, age 30, 704 Fourth
Street, Marietta, for OVI, for not wearing a seat belt and for
operating a vehicle with expired license plates, all misdemeanors.
Radabaugh was arrested at the intersection of Front and Putnam
streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 13 at 2:10 am.
Brian Daniel Bates, age 36, 19891 Everly Road,
Sarahsville, OH, for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor
charge of assault. Bates was arrested on McGrath Road by Deputy
Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 16 Feb 13 at 5:11 am.
Rocky Dean Mayle, age 28, 1089 Mayle Ridge
Road, Cutler, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor.
Mayle was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 13 at
4:51 pm.
Steven Ray McNemar, age 28, 433 Smithfield
Avenue, Zanesville, for theft, a felony. McNemar was picked
up in Holmes County and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Feb 13 at 11:40 pm.
