On 31 Jan 13 an employee of Mole Masters, 27815
State Route 7, Marietta, reported approximately 500 pounds of
brass chain were stolen from their storage warehouse sometime
after 17 Dec 12. The employee said the chain would cost an estimated
$6,000 to replace. This case remains under investigation (126).
On 31 Jan 13 a fifteen year old Belpre resident
reported he was assaulted by his father during an argument over
his misuse of the internet. An investigation by Deputy Sheriff
Metts revealed the juvenile embellished a minor incident to
get back at his father for limiting his use of the internet.
Deputy Metts was also unable to corroborate the teenager’s
statement with a witness. As a result, Deputy Metts closed this
case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jamie John Cooper, age 50, 101 Oak Street,
Marietta, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Cooper turned
himself in at the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jan 13 at 7:22 am.
Brooke Michele Miller, age 39, 50 Flint Run
Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of her probation, telephone
harassment, criminal mischief and menacing, all misdemeanors.
Miller was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Augenstein
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jan 13 at
James Nathan Long, age 31, 414 Ohio Street,
New Martinsville, WV, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Long was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Blamble of the
New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 31 Jan 13 at 12:25 pm.
Christopher Michael Lucas, age 33, 928 Lancaster
Avenue, Lancaster, OH, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor.
Lucas was picked up at the Fairfield County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jan
13 at 1:12 pm.
