On 21 Jan 13 the owner of Matheny Well Service, Logan, OH, reported at some point during the past several days an unknown suspect(s) stole a hydraulic pump, a bottle jack and the keys from a drilling truck from an oil well site on Lowell Loop Road near State Route 60 in Adams Township. The value of the stolen property is approximately $375. This case remains under investigation (129).

On 21 Jan 13 an employee of Tri-County Water, 20 Anderson Lane, Waterford, reported he recently discovered the cover was pried off an electric meter at a water tower located at 144 Ray Harr Road, Beverly. Nothing was missing nor was there further tampering with the exposed wires. This case remains under investigation (129).

On 21 Jan 13 the Newport Fire Department transported a twenty-five year old New Matamoras resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment following a suicide attempt. Believing everything in her life was going wrong, the victim ingested a combination of twenty-four pills from her six prescription medications. The victim is expected to fully recover (812).

On 21 Jan 13 David L. Lowe, age 60, 3558 School House Road, Little Hocking, reported he believes an acquaintance who visited his home briefly that afternoon stole approximately fifteen pills from his prescription bottle of oxycodone. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 21 Jan 13 Lt. Rhodes arrested Paul M. Carrington, age 43, 1615 Franklin Avenue, Belpre, for criminal trespassing. Previously informed he was no longer permitted on the property of Kroger in Belpre, Mr. Carrington was observed by a Kroger security officer in the parking lot that afternoon. The Belpre Police Department is in the process of obtaining additional warrants for Mr. Carrington for two other trespassing incidents.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Paul Michael Carrington, age 51, 1615 Franklin Street, Belpre, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Carrington was arrested on Acme Street by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Jan 13 at 4:38 pm.
