On 10 Jan 13 Bernard J. Rauch, age 77, 234
Clifton Road, Little Hocking, reported his wife was driving
past their rental property at 1500 State Route 555, Little Hocking,
when she observed two male subjects who appeared to be attempting
to enter the vacant home. Sgt. Smeeks located and interviewed
the alleged suspects and determined the pair were at the residence
in search of tenants who were evicted from the home a week ago.
Sgt. Smeeks found no evidence that the suspects attempted to
enter the residence. As a result, Sgt. Smeeks closed this case
On 10 Jan 13 Dustie Porter, age 37, 969 Gerken
Road, Whipple, reported while she was at work that day she believes
her son and his friend stole an Xbox 360 and a television from
her custodial granddaughter’s room. This case remains
under investigation (1010).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Staci Diane Hoffman, age 29, 1887 Williams
Highway, Williamstown, for OVI, driving under a suspended license
and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors.
Hoffman was arrested on Putnam Street by Patrolman Nohe of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Jan 13 at 5:04 am.
Terry Brian Fox, age 38, 316 Walnut Street,
Belpre, for violating the terms of his parole and for being
a fugitive from justice, both felonies. Fox was arrested at
the office of Probation Officer Smith and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 10 Jan 13 at 11:33 am.
Mark Everett Sampson, age 32, 6980 McMannis-Riggs
Road, Beverly, for three misdemeanor parking violations. Sampson
was arrested on Putnam Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jan 13 at
Matthew Raymond Fitch, age 39, 124 Tennis Center
Drive, Marietta, for pandering obscenity involving a minor,
a felony. Fitch was arrested at his residence by Detective Parks
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jan 13 at 7:30 pm.
