On 28 Dec 12 Deputy Sheriff McKee requested a summons for Amanda D. Keys, age 32, 90 Dye Street, Newport, for assault. During a confrontation with her boyfriend’s sister, April L. King, age 46, 215 Harris Street, Newport, Ms. Keys flicked a lighted cigarette in Ms. King’s hair.

On 28 Dec 12 Catherine Miller, age 48, 545 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, reported she was assaulted by her daughter the previous evening. At her mother’s residence to pick up her child, Sarah Lightner, age 30, 4325 Brandeberry Road, Coolville, became upset and began yelling. An argument about children’s belongings followed, during which time Ms. Lightner struck her mother in the face and pulled her hair. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for Ms. Lightner for domestic violence.

On 28 Dec 12 Douglas Wriston Jr., 693 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported the mother of his eleven year old son took the child without permission returned to her home in North Carolina. The child’s parents do not have a formal custody agreement so it is unclear if any criminal act was committed. Deputy Sheriff Augenstein will be consulting the Law Director to determine if charges are warranted.
