On 18 Dec 12 Bonita R. Loving, age 45, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, reported sometime between 2 am on 16 Dec and 4:30 pm on 17 Dec an unknown suspect(s) entered her home and stole $386 from her purse and also the pills from three bottles of her narcotics medications. This case remains under investigation (509).

On 18 Dec 12 Teresa Carroll, age 47, 863 Twin Bridge Road, Little Hocking, reported her teenage daughter observed an unknown male with brown hair in the kitchen of their residence around 8 pm that evening. Ms. Carroll’s daughter sought refuge behind a locked bathroom door and heard the suspect approach and knock on the door. The suspect did not disturb or steal anything from the home and left no evidence at the home. Therefore, Sgt. Smeeks closed this case until additional information becomes available.

On 18 Dec 12 Deputy Sheriff McPeek and the Beverly Fire Department were dispatched to a fire in a shipping building at Globe Metals at 1595 Sparling Road, Waterford. The fire appears to have originated in a conveyor belt and was extinguished before causing structural damage to the building. A safety team at Globe Metals is being assembled to further investigate the incident.

On 18 Dec 12 Fredrick Skinner, age 74, 228 Fourth Street, Lowell, reported at some point during the past month and a half an unknown suspect(s) shot his camper three times with a paintball gun. Mr. Skinner stores the camper at 306 Bohl Drive, Marietta, and said he believes it will cost at least $500 to repair the damage. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 18 Dec 12 Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested a summons for Garrett C. Butler, age 18, 9 Painters Crossing, Williamstown, for reckless operation. While parked along River Road Deputy Hunter observed Mr. Butler traveling in his vehicle at an estimated 70 mph. The road has a 35 mph speed limit and pedestrians frequently walk along the road.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kenneth Phillip Gold, age 41, 105 Remington Court, Greenville, SC, for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under a suspended license and speeding, all misdemeanors. Gold was arrested near milepost seventeen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Dec 12 at 9:50 am.
