On 12 Dec 12 Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder responded to the scene of death of a ninety year old Vincent resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 12 Dec 12 the Little Hocking Fire Department transported a fifteen year old Little Hocking resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a prescription drug overdose. The juvenile, who ingested a large quantity of depakote in an attempt to take his own life, is expected to recover fully (509, 1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Andrew Lee McCarty, age 24, 125 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for theft, a felony. McCarty was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 12 at 11:29 am.

Ronald Dean Miller Sr., age 30, 10480 Veto Road, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 12 at 11:55 am.

James Leroy Henthorn, age 34, 1170 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Henthorn was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 12 at 3:07 pm.

Damien Alexander Hines, age 20, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Hines was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 12 at 4:50 pm.

Matthew Allen Altizer, age 19, 2215 Highland Road, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Altizer was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 12 at 6:04 pm.
