Archive of 11-15-12

On 15 Nov 12 an unoccupied Ford Escort owned by and parked outside the residence of Joseph Hungate, age 33, 11 Hickory Street, Little Hocking, coasted from its parking spot and down a slope. The vehicle rolled down an embankment, across Hickory Road and Wood Drive and struck a tree at 3864 School House Road and a fence at neighboring 3844. The collision caused moderate damage to the front, passenger side and undercarriage of Mr. Hungate’s vehicle.

On 15 Nov 12 Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder issued a citation to Brian D. Hall, age 21, 865 Cornerville Road, Marietta, for reckless operation. Deputy Reeder issued the citation after Detective Parks observed Mr. Hall driving erratically as he traveled southbound on Greene Street. Mr. Hill abruptly changed lanes, accelerated rapidly and spun and smoked his tires while stopped in traffic.

On 15 Nov 12 Steven M. Stoops, age 39, 2335 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, reported he was assaulted by his landlord across the street from his home. Mr. Stoops did not provoke the attack and said he’s been involved in a longstanding disagreement with his landlord over repairs needed at his residence. Mr. Stoops was not seriously injured during the assault. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Christi Venables-Maxhimer, age 33, 135 Mill Street, Dalton, OH, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Venables-Maxhime was arrested on State Route 7 in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 12:55 am.

Brandon Michael Schmidt, age 22, 830 Ridge Street, Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Schmidt was arrested at his residence by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 3:00 pm.

Sara Kay Hewett, age 18, Emerson Avenue, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hewett was arrested on Layman Road in Vincent by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 3:25 pm.

Ronald Wayne Gilbert, age 47, 920 Quarry Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Gilbert was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 4:15 pm.

Daniel Richard Sampson, age 44, 238 Third Street, Lowell, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Sampson was arrested on State Route 339 by Patrolman Miller of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 9:21 pm.

Christopher Adam Porter, age 27, 13700 State Route 339, Waterford, for two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Porter was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 11:43 pm.

Justin Tyler Gibbs, age 21, 827 Ridge Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Gibbs was arrested on Cisler Lane by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 12 at 11:55 pm.
