On 27 Oct 12 Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Briaunda McKinney, age 18, 5090 Whipple Run Road, Whipple, for traveling 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy McPeek stopped Ms. McKinney on State Route 7 near milepost thirteen in Dunham Township.

On 27 Oct 12 Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Peter B. Gammon, age 410 Fourth Street, Marietta, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, failure to register and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Responding to reports of an impaired driver, Deputy Hunter located Mr. Gammon’s vehicle on Colegate Drive. Despite claiming he only consumed two or three beers, Mr. Gammon had a strong odor of alcohol and glassy, bloodshot eyes. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests Mr. Gammon was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Gammon refused a BAC test.

On 27 Oct 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Jacob J. Huck, age 19, 830 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Mr. Huck consumed alcohol and supplied alcohol to both his adult friends under twenty-one and several minors who attended a party at his home that evening. At the Washington County Jail Mr. Huck tested .140 BAC. The minors at the party were released to their parents. Mr. Huck’s friends fled and could not be located.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Lee Slagle Jr., age 31, 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Slagle was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 2:06 am.

Timothy Lee Henry, age 41, 26935 State Route 7, Marietta, for OVI, driving under an OVI suspended license, for not wearing a seat belt and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Henry was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 5:55 am.

Vickie Marie Thompson, age 29, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 40, Marietta, for using deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a felony. Thompson was arrested at Rite Aid by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 11:55 am.

Peter Benjamin Gammon, age 410 Fourth Street, Marietta, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, failure to register and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Gammon was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 5:22 pm.

David Gilbert Richard Wittig, age 19, 300 Mulberry Avenue Apt. 10, Pomeroy, for theft of drugs, a felony. Wittig was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 5:42 pm.

Brian Scott Moore, age 37, Route 1 Box 243, Belleville, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Moore turned himself in to Patrolman Moyers of the New Matamoras Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 12 at 11:36 pm.
