On 22 Oct 12 Curtis J. Noel, age 51, 255 Arends Ridge Road, Marietta, reported he recently discovered two checks were stolen from his checkbook and forged for a total of $800. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 22 Oct 12 Tucker Hurst, age 26, 2589 Barth Road, Belpre, reported approximately two weeks ago he believes his ex-wife’s boyfriend choked his nine year old son. Mr. Hurst’s ex-wife confirmed an incident between her son and her boyfriend occurred but said the child was not injured. This case remains under investigation (597).

FELONY DRUG ARREST

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a twenty-five year old Beverly resident in Morgan County yesterday afternoon. Joseph A. Anderson was reportedly returning to the area after purchasing narcotics in Columbus. With the assistance of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the Beverly Police Department, Major Crimes Task Force Agents conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of State Route 83 and Center Bend Road near Beverly. Following a canine indication for the presence of drugs, Officers searched the vehicle and discovered a small quantity of marijuana. Informed later that additional drugs were possibly hidden in the vehicle, Officers conducted an extensive search and discovered approximately six grams of heroin concealed in an area under the dash.

As a result of the traffic stop Mr. Anderson faces a second degree felony charge of having a hidden compartment in a vehicle, a third degree felony charge of possession of heroin and misdemeanor charges of possession of suboxone and possession of marijuana.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Eric Dwayne Hardie, age 33, 105 Gilman Avenue Lot 10, Marietta, for a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear and breach of recognizance. Hardie was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 11:08 am.

Jarrod Michael Bauerbach, age 33, 200 Pennock Drive Lot 63, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Bauerbach was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Miller of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 11:34 am.

Torrey Tremain Swain, age 32, 428 Crestwood Avenue, Akron, for three felony charges of trafficking in drugs. Swain was picked up at the Mansfield Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 2:40 pm.

Tyler Thomas Olin, age 21, 3119 Hilcrest Lane, Fallbrook, CA, for soliciting, a misdemeanor. Olin was arrested on Brentwood Street by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 2:41 pm.

Benjamin Stephen Fair, age 32, 1208 County House Lane Apt. F, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Fair was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Willson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 4:02 pm.

William Thomas Cunningham, age 31, 414 Main Street, Belpre, for theft, a felony. Cunningham was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 12 at 6:27 pm.
