On 15 Oct 12 John W. Church, age 44, 10080 State Route 550, Vincent, reported he left his 9 mm Glock 19 in his unlocked vehicle on 7 Oct and the following day he noticed the handgun and its holster were missing. Thinking the weapon may have been misplaced, Mr. Church and his family searched for the weapon but were unable to locate it. This case remains under investigation (129).

On 15 Oct 12 Virginia Payne, age 44, 725 Beverly Street, Watertown, reported at some point during the past week an unknown suspect(s) damage items on property she farms at 13642 State Route 676, Waterford. Ms. Payne said the suspect(s) rolled six bales of hay over a hill and one of the bales damaged a section of standing corn. The estimated damage caused by the suspect(s) is $620. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 15 Oct 12 Steven P. Howard, age 56, 5109 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, reported sometime within the past two weeks an unknown suspect(s) entered his garage and stole a variety of Snap On tools. Stolen from the garage were a floor jack, hand tools, a tool set and a car battery which Mr. Payne stated were worth a total of approximately $1,500. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 15 Oct 12 Jennifer K. Mosser, age 32, 1178 Moss Run Road, Marietta, reported while she was away and her grandmother and a friend were babysitting at her home, a family member entered her home without permission. The unwelcome guest proceeded to retrieve belongings she claimed were hers and stole the change purse from Ms. Mosser’s grandmother’s purse. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 15 Oct 12 Doug S. Christman, age 41, 940 Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported sometime between 13 Oct and 15 Oct an unknown suspect(s) stole a trail camera and a hunting blind from his property. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 15 Oct 12 Sgt. Mankins arrested Casey L. Francis, age 20, 6288 State Route 60, Lowell, for domestic violence. Arguing with her seventeen year old sister for most of the day over household chores, Ms. Francis began yelling. Ms. Francis followed her sister as she attempted to escape to another room and continued to yell at her. As her sister again tried to flee, Ms. Francis grabbed her by the arms and chest and attempted to punch her multiple times. The seventeen year old’s boyfriend witnessed the incident and intervened to separate the two.

On 15 Oct 12 Sgt. Mankins arrested Casey L. Francis, age 20, 6288 State Route 60, Lowell, for domestic violence. The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua Keith Ross, age 32, 713 Allen Street, Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of a protection order. Ross was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 12 at 10:38 am.

Dustin Ray Riley, age 27, 101 Woodcrest Lane, Marietta, for two counts of possession of drugs and three counts of trafficking in drugs, all felonies. Riley turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 12 at 12:29 pm.

Ruth Irene Sherman, age 23, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for domestic violence and endangering children, both misdemeanors. Sherman was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 12 at 1:50 pm.

Casey Lynn Francis, age 20, 6288 State Route 60, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Francis was arrested by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 12 at 2:57 pm.
