On 9 Oct 12 Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Ilikai Johnson, age 26935 State Route 7 Apt. 1B, Marietta, for failing to signal and for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy McPeek stopped Ms. Johnson near milepost one on Interstate 77 in Marietta Township.

On 9 Oct 12 Lt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff Huffer responded to a report that a Marietta Township resident was high on bath salts and possibly concealing a handgun in his vehicle. The suspect withdrew cash from a local ATM and was reportedly en route to Orlando, WV. The suspect has yet to be located.

On 9 Oct 12 the Salem Fire Department transported a twenty-nine year old Whipple resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to two large self-inflicted lacerations on his right arm. The victim was highly intoxicated and had also cut himself numerous times all over his body. As a result of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested a summons for the victim for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

On 9 Oct 12 Astin A. Oliver, age 29, 207B Rummer Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in an argument with her live-in boyfriend that quickly escalated when her boyfriend, Kenneth R. Rogers, age 25, threw Gatorade on her. Mr. Rogers subsequently retrieved a urine filled diaper and rubbed it on Ms. Oliver’s face. As the incident continued Mr. Rogers slapped Ms. Oliver and threatened to kill her if he went to jail. Verifying Ms. Oliver’s statement with a witness, Deputy Sheriff Huffer arrested Mr. Rogers for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 9 Oct 12 a neighbor of Glen C. Nichols, age 66, 9391 Veto Road, Belpre, reported an unknown suspect(s) entered Mr. Nichols’ home while he was on vacation. The suspect(s) pried open a door and rifled through drawers in the kitchen and in three bedrooms, leaving clothes strewn about the rooms. At this time it is unknown what, if anything, was stolen. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 9 Oct 12 William G. Cole, age 68, 4575 State Route 276, Batavia, reported at some point between 6 Oct and 8 Oct an unknown suspect(s) entered two hunting cabins he owns at 13872 County Road 9, New Matamoras. Stolen from the cabins were a twenty-four inch television and a Buck knife that Mr. Cole estimated were worth $300. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 9 Oct 12 Lori Leedy, age 47, 9550 State Route 550, Marietta, reported she was incarcerated for a period that day and during that time an unknown suspect(s) entered her home and garage and stole two mobile phones, two debit cards, three bottles of prescription medication, a weed eater, a small fuse box, a breaker box and a bucket containing various tools. The value of the stolen items is approximately $830. This case remains under investigation (912).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kenneth Ray Rogers, age 25, 207 Rummer Road Apt. B, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Rogers was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 8:22 am.

Matthew Daniel Whitstine, age 21, 127 Ward Street, Marietta, for possessing a deadly weapon while under detention, a felony. Whitstine was arrested in Common Pleas Court and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 9:39 am.

Andrew Micheal Steele, age 20, 1421 Lancaster Street Apt. 100B, Marietta, for three felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Steele was arrested at his residence by Detective Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 10:07 am.

Nicholas Jon Durbin, age 28, 109 Eighth Street Apt. 1, Belpre, for three felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Durbin was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 10:34 am.

Chase Luther Simmons, age 27, 205 Sheldon Avenue Apt. 2, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Simmons was arrested at his residence by Detective Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 10:45 am.

Terry Lamp, age 41, 2209 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Lamp was arrested at his residence by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 10:57 am.

Jodie Dawn Miller, age 29, 27360 State Route 7 Lot 17, Marietta, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Miller was arrested at her residence by Detective Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 11:25 am.

Orval Eugene Bradford, age 47, 1915 Rinard Mills Road, New Matamoras, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Bradford was arrested at his residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 11:45 am.

Brent Edward Deeter, age 33, 407 Fourth Street Apt. B, Marietta, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Deeter was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 12:27 pm.

Vanessa Lynn Sciance, age 26, 111 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Sciance was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 1:26 pm.

Ciara Marie Cavallier, age 24, 3772 Doney Street, Whitehall, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Cavallier turned herself in to Deputy Sheriff Simmons and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 2:38 pm.

William Ray Adams, age 37, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Adams was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 4:20 pm.

Lori Lynn Leedy, age 47, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Leedy was arrested at her residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 12 at 4:40 pm.
