On 1 Oct 12 Michelle Leasure, age 44, 1111
Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, reported sometime during the
night she believes an unknown suspect(s) entered her home. Ms.
Leasure said several items appeared out of place but the only
item missing was a silver hoop earring. This case remains under
On 1 Oct 12 Janice Seevers, age 72, 1450 Sandhill
Road, Marietta, reported she received a phone call from a male
subject with a foreign accent who had her bank account information.
The caller offered Ms. Seevers a free medical card if she verified
the account information and provided a check number. The call
was placed after banking hours so it is unknown if the suspect
was able transfer funds from Ms. Seevers’ account. This
case remains under investigation (910).
On 1 Oct 12 an employee of Warren Township
reported a battery was stolen from a grader that was parked
across from 82 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, on 26 Sep 12. This
case remains under investigation (1007).
On 1 Oct 12 the Barlow Fire Department transported
a twenty-three year old Coolville resident from a Barth Road
residence to Marietta Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.
The woman was behaving strangely and was sitting at the kitchen
table eating when the home’s resident came home and said
“hi mom, I helped myself.” The woman is of no relation
to the homeowner and would quickly change moods. The homeowner
declined to pursue burglary or criminal trespassing charges

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Robert Harris, age 32, 704 Elm Street
Apt. 2, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Harris was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 12 at
Eric Brandon Siders, age 24, 6070 Sandhill
Road, Marietta, for a felony charge of theft and misdemeanor
charges of theft, failure to appear and breach of recognizance.
Siders was picked up at the Fairfield County Jail by Deputy
Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 1 Oct 12 at 3:49 pm.
Rebecca Lou Starlin, age 22, 1320 Caywood Road,
Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Starlin arrested near the intersection of State Route 26 and
Caywood Road by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct
12 at 10:30 pm.
