Archive of 09-27-12

On 27 Sep 12 a clerk at Par Mar #14, 66 Arrowhead Drive, Little Hocking, reported a customer ran out of the store without paying for a twelve pack of beer. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 27 Sep 12 an employee of Little Hocking Water, 3998 Newbury Road, Little Hocking, reported sometime in the early morning hours an unknown suspect(s) threw a rock and shattered the glass on the front door of the business. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 27 Sep 12 Lt. Norman and Deputy Sheriffs McKee and Metts responded to reports of an erratic and possibly intoxicated driver in the area between Lowell and Devola. The Deputies located the vehicle near Par Mar and conducted a traffic stop on the driver, Carlos M. Oates, age 27, 2568 Nona Road, Columbus. Mr. Oates had a suspended driver’s license and a slight odor of alcohol but did not seem to be impaired. Granted permission to search the vehicle, the Deputies discovered marijuana joint in a cup holder and marijuana joints and a small quantity of marijuana in a jacket belonging to Mr. Oates. Additionally, the Deputies found a marijuana joint in the coat pocket of the passenger, Phillip I. Rogers, age 37, 1061 Ashburton Road, Columbus. As a result, Mr. Oates and Mr. Rogers were arrested for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gerald Wayne Mistich, age 53, 2317 Broad Street Apt. 2, Parkersburg, for theft and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Mistich was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Ward of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 10:41 am.

Lindsey Mae Tornes, age 22, 1160 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Tornes was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 12:23 pm.

Jason Michael Petersen, age 22, 2 Miller Court, Webster Spring, WV, for possession of drugs, a felony. Petersen was picked up in Webster County, WV by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 2:16 pm.

Brent John McKinney, age 38, 6650 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for forgery and theft, both felonies. McKinney was arrested his residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 6:45 pm.

Phillip Isaac Rogers, age 37, 1061 Ashburton Road, Columbus, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Rogers was arrested on State Route 60 near Par Mar by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 8:25 pm.

Carlos Maurice Oates, age 27, 2568 Nona Road, Columbus, for driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Oates was arrested on State Route 60 near Par Mar by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 12 at 8:54 pm.
