On 26 Sep 12 Sgt. Anderson requested summonses for David W. Madison, age 40, 135 Mill Street, Waterford, and his live-in girlfriend, Carrie A. Howell, age 38, for disorderly conduct. Arguing throughout the evening, Mr. Madison and Ms. Howell both admitted being physical with the other during the dispute. However, neither Ms. Howell nor Mr. Madison reported being in fear for their safety during the incident.

On 26 Sep 12 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to the scene of death of an eighty-nine year old Newport resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Seth Patrick Barnes, age 20, 1980 State Route 550, Cutler, for assault, a misdemeanor. Barnes was arrested on Fourth Street in Lowell by Deputy Sheriff B. Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 12 at 5:41 pm.

Mary Alice Brooks, age 32, 210 Spring Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Brooks was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 12 at 6:05 pm.
