On 17 Sep 12 Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested
a summons for Stephanie N. Vaughn, age 24, 130 Brandy Drive,
Marietta, for obstructing official business. Receiving treatment
at Marietta Memorial Hospital for knife wounds to her arm, Ms.
Vaughn initially claimed her injuries were inflicted by an ex-boyfriend.
However, when Deputy Hunter confronted her with evidence contrary
to her story, Ms. Vaughn recanted her statement and said she
inflicted the wounds herself.
On 17 Sep 12 the principal at Lawrence Elementary
School at 14800 State Route 26, Reno, reported sometime over
the weekend five windows at the school were damaged by flying
gravel while the driver of an unknown vehicle did donuts in
a rear parking lot. This case remains under investigation (129).
On 17 Sep 12 Linda Lansing, age 54, 101 Muskingum
Terrace Apt. C, Marietta, reported she was involved in argument
with her husband over the state of their marriage at 181 Seevers
Road, Newport. Mrs. Lansing said she was not in fear for her
safety and was not threatened during the dispute. The two parties
agreed to separate for the evening to avoid further problems
On 17 Sep 12 Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the
Caldwell Fire Department responded to a fire at a storage building
owned by Jeffrey E. Haas at 16230 State Route 821, Macksburg.
The fire, which was deemed to be electrical, caused significant
damage to the structure and its contents.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Ryan Stewart, age 20, 809 Morgan Avenue,
Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Stewart was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Smith
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 12 at
Reba Shandel Gammons-Cook, age 21, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Gammons-Cook was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Sep 12 at 9:50 am.
Craig Amady Parsons, age 53, 253 Orchard Drive,
Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor.
Parsons was arrested on River Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 12 at 7:24
