On 15 Sep 12 Deputy Sheriffs Huffer and Underwood investigated reports of multiple mailboxes being damaged in the vicinity of 2020 Christy Road in Warren Township. The suspects also opened a number of pieces of mail and scattered others throughout the area. This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Sep 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert requested a warrant for John R. McDuffy, age 46, 201 Front Street, Williamstown, for violating the terms of a protection order. A day earlier Mr. McDuffy entered his wife’s place of employment and pleaded for his wife to drop the protection order. Mr. McDuffy’s estranged wife said she was not threatened but was concerned that he may be in possession of a handgun. Mr. McDuffy departed the business without further incident.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Julianne Landin, age 47, 412 11th Street #14, Parkersburg, for OVI and speeding, both misdemeanors. Landin was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 12 at 2:47 am.

Larry Gale Thompson Jr., age 29, 231 Faye Avenue, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and for two counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 12 at 3:31 am.

William H. Elliott II, age 22, 1882 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for OVI and speeding, both misdemeanors. Elliott was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 12 at 3:36 am.
