On 1 Sep 12 the New Matamoras Fire Department transported an eighteen year old New Matamoras resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to an overdose on prescription medication. The teenager, who was disoriented and confused, said he had no intention of harming himself and ingested extra medication in an attempt to help him sleep. He is expected to recover fully (910).

On 1 Sep 12 Lt. Stackpole requested a warrant for Goldie L. Brookover, age 51, 186 Main Street Lot 4, Lowell, for two counts of menacing. At Dollar General in Lowell that morning Ms. Brookover grew enraged for an unknown reason and threatened to beat up a seventy year old man. Following the gentleman outside, Ms. Brookover continued her harassment and also threatened the man’s sixty-nine year old wife.

On 1 Aug 12 Raymond Jones, age 41, 3805 Sheets Run Drive, New Matamoras, reported at some point during the past day an unknown suspect(s) stole a generator from a storage building on his property. This case remains under investigation (910).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Edward L. Sayger III, age 31, 193 Fourth Street, Lowell, for domestic violence and unlawful restraint, both misdemeanors. Sayger was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 10:33 am.

Chavazze Levi Kidder, age 18, 148 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, for felonious assault. Kidder was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Anderson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 4:43 pm.

Shannon Scott Hines, age 24, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, for theft, a misdemeanor. Hines was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 7:04 pm.

Leslie Francis Wiles, age 48, 115th Avenue SW, Massillon, OH, for .17 breath OVI and speeding, both misdemeanors. Wiles was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 8:15 pm.

Nicholas Arthur Mackey, age 29, 105 Ewing Road, Reno, for felony charges of tampering with drugs and possession of drugs, for four misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle with expired plates. Mackey was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 9:27 pm.

Gregory Allen Hart, age 22, 442 Washington Street, Macksburg, for contempt for failing to pay fines, a misdemeanor. Hart was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 10:43 pm.

Keith Allen Drake, age 25, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Drake was arrested near the intersection of Greene and Vine streets by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 12 at 11:29 pm.
