On 25 Aug 12 Amanda L. Metts, age 23, 1895
Lindamood Road, Macksburg, reported she was at the Wrangler
Tavern for two hours beginning at 11 pm the previous evening
and sometime during that period an unknown suspect(s) broke
a window on her vehicle and stole her purse, which contained
$125. This case remains under investigation (594).
On 25 Aug 12 Lt. Rhodes arrested James R. Flowers,
age 20, 3436 London Lancaster Road, Columbus, for disorderly
conduct by intoxication. While on patrol on State Route 7, Lt.
Rhodes observed Mr. Flowers stumbling along the roadway near
State Route 550. Mr. Flowers was unsteady on his feet, had bloodshot
eyes and had a strong odor of alcohol. Mr. Flowers refused a
BAC test when transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 25 Aug 12 Sgt. Mankins, Deputy Sheriff Huffer
and the Lowell Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at
12266 State Route 60, Lowell. Zachary Stoltzfus said he just
returned to his residence when a neighbor knocked on his door
and informed him his Chevy pickup truck was on fire. The fire
was contained in the engine compartment and extinguished without
incident. The vehicle was a total loss.
On 25 Aug 12 Brent E. Deeter, age 33, 407 Fourth
Street, Marietta, reported he was at his grandmother’s
residence at 2003 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, when an acquaintance
confronted him over a vehicle Mr. Deeter purchased several days
earlier. The acquaintance demanded the vehicle back but Mr.
Deeter said he would only do so if he was returned the $500
he paid for the vehicle. Mr. Deeter’s acquaintance grew
enraged and punched him in the side of the head. Mr. Deeter
then tackled his assailant and punched him before the two were
separated. This case remains under investigation (296, 1010).
On 25 Aug 12 Lt. Rhodes requested a summons
for a seventeen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile
Court on a charge of delinquency by underage consumption of
alcohol. Along with Deputy Sheriffs Metts and Reeder, Lt. Rhodes
investigated a report of a party possibly involving underage
drinking at the intersection of Tornes Road and Huck Road. Among
the number of individuals at the location the seventeen year
old was the only one found who tested positive for alcohol,
with a BAC of .056.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Robert Flowers, age 20, 3436 London Lancaster
Road, Columbus, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Flowers was arrested near the intersection of State Route 550
and State Route 7 by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug
12 at 4:50 am.
Allen Bernard Biehl, age 40, 125 Rummer Road,
Marietta, for a felony charge of domestic violence and a misdemeanor
charge of theft. Biehl was arrested at his residence by Deputy
Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 25 Aug 12 at 6:23 am.
