On 19 Aug 12 the Reno Fire Department transported a thirty-six ear old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a prescription drug overdose. The victim, who ingested his medication in an attempt to take his own life, was coherent and cooperative. He is expected to recover fully (912).

On 19 Aug 12 Lt. Gherke arrested Wayne A. Rhodes, age 23, 4080 Newberry Road, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Patrolling Little Hocking, Lt. Gherke observed Mr. Rhodes walking near Little Hocking Elementary School and was aware that there was an active warrant for his arrest. At the time of his arrest Mr. Rhodes was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and a marijuana pipe.

On 19 Aug 12 Sgt. Smeeks arrested a fourteen year old Macksburg resident on a charge of delinquency b criminal damaging. Angry that his mother spoke to a man of whom he doesn’t approve, the teenager went on a tirade in his bedroom, throwing items, breaking a nightstand and damaging a small television. The juvenile’s mother said her son’s aggression was not directed toward her but she felt it might progress to that in the future.

On 19 Aug 12 Robin Strauss, age 35, 3842 Bell Road, Vincent, reported she was involved in a heated argument with her husband. Arguing over a possible divorce, Mrs. Strauss said the dispute escalated because her husband had been drinking. Mrs. Strauss attempted to leave the home with her children to avoid further problems but her husband would not allow her to do so. With the intervention of Deputies, Mrs. Strauss’ husband allowed her to leave. Sgt. Smeeks subsequently determined no act of domestic violence occurred.

On 19 Aug 12 Joshua Hendershot, age 29, 8311 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, was pulling his Chevy truck from the yard at 135 Vanfossen Road, Lowell, onto the property’s driveway when his vehicle began to slide in wet grass. Sliding down a steep grade, the rear of Mr. Hendershot’s truck struck a tree, causing light damage. Mr. Hendershot complained of neck pain and was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital by the Lowell Fire Department.

On 19 Aug 12 William Toncray Jr., age 43, 908 Main Street Apt. B, Belpre, reported his wallet, which contained $2,000, and two bottles of prescription medication were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at the Outpost Bar the evening of 17 Aug. This case remains under investigation (1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kachina Richell Patterson, age 22, 2107 Miller Avenue, Belpre, for .17 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Patterson was arrested near milepost twelve on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 3:20 am.

Wayne Anthony Rhodes, age 23, 4080 Newberry Road, Little Hocking, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rhodes was arrested in Little Hocking by Sgt. Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 4:10 am.

Stephanie Marie Griffin, age 36, Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Griffin was arrested in Little Hocking by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 5:10 am.

Christopher Michael Lucas, age 33, 429 Harrison Avenue, Lancaster, OH, fort a felony charge of aggravated menacing and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Lucas was arrested in Little Hocking by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 5:15 am.

Christina Irene Delancey, age 25, 121 Muskingum Drive Apt. 2, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Delancey was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 6:09 am.

Eric Gunner Sciance, age 18, 114 Sunset Drive, Marietta, for a felony charge of automobile theft and misdemeanor charges of hit-skip, reckless operation and operating a vehicle without a license. Sciance was arrested on Muskingum Drive by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 7:33 am.

Darren Craig Farnese, age 18, 121 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Farnese was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 7:48 am.

Caroline Carsten Chesher, age 28, 410 Avery Court Apt. A, Parkersburg, for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Chesher was arrested on Harmar Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 12 at 8:20 am.
