On 14 Aug 12 Frances Murphy, age 74, 350 Cornerville Road, Reno, reported around 4:30 pm she noticed her mailbox was missing from its post. Additionally, Ms. Murphy said the bottom of her neighbor’s mailbox post at 355 Cornerville Road was broken and leaning into the roadway. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 14 Aug 12 an individual reported finding a safe in a foot of water in Duck Creek in the vicinity of milepost 12.5 on State Route 821. The safe contained items belonging to Wally’s Pizza in Caldwell and was stolen during a breaking and entering. The safe and its contents were transferred to the Noble County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation (594).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Chester Harold Dains, age 26, 1308 Carriage Hill Drive, Athens, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Dains was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Aug 12 at 12:53 am.

Anthony Eugene Cronin, age 40, 710 Ohio Avenue, Belpre, for breaking and entering, a felony. Cronin was arrested in Belpre by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Aug 12 at 7:40 pm.

Aaron Eugene Harter, age 32, 313 Vanbergen Avenue, Marietta, for gross sexual imposition and sexual battery, both felonies. Harter turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Aug 12 at 9:44 pm.

Brent Michael Maze, age 39, 283 Maze Road, Belpre, for breaking and entering, a felony. Maze was arrested in Belpre by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Aug 12 at 10:07 pm.

Dustin Kyle Maze, age 30, 127 Maze Road, Belpre, for breaking and entering, a felony. Maze was arrested at his residence by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Aug 12 at 10:19 pm.
