On 30 Jul 12 the Warren Fire Department transported Thomas E. Arnold, age 57, 455 Chainey Run Road, Marietta, to Marietta Memorial Hospital after he fell from his roof that morning. Mr. Arnold complained of back pain as a result of the fall from his one story home but was not seriously injured (597).

On 30 Jul 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert was dispatched to 3398 Waterford Road Apt. E, Marietta, in response to a neighbor’s report of yelling and screaming in the apartment. Amanda Styer, age 19, was at the residence she shared with her former live-in boyfriend to retrieve some belongings when an argument erupted. Both Ms. Styer and her ex-boyfriend admitted shoving each other during the incident, with Ms. Styer stating she was as much at fault as her ex-boyfriend. Based on his investigation, Deputy Holbert closed this case as unfounded.

On 30 Jul 12 a Lawrence Township trustee reported at some point during the past two weeks two “road closed” signs were stolen from a road slip repair site on Bowersock Road. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Keith Allen Nibert, age 50, 211 Center Street, Waterford, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Nibert was arrested on Colegate Drive by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 12 at 4:17 am.

Gregory Paul Parsons, age 42, 3470 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for OVI and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Parsons was arrested on Muskingum Drive by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 12 at 7:05 pm.

James Clinton Bartimus, age 39, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Bartimus was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Anderson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 12 at 9:35 pm.
