On 22 Jul 12 Teresa A. Huffman, age 50, 97 South Bass Lane, Vincent, reported she has a protection order against her estranged husband and he phoned her residence several times during the past three days. Ms. Huffman’s roommate spoke to the husband, at which time he asked her to relay comments to his wife. Issued in Wood County, WV, Deputy Sheriff McPeek determined the protection order did not forbid third party contact between the husband and wife. As a result, Deputy McPeek will contact the Law Director to determine if any charges are warranted.

On 22 Jul 12 Tonya Morgan, age 39, 100 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported around 9:30 pm an unknown suspect(s) threw a glass jar containing what smelled like cleaning fluid at her daughter’s car. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 22 Jul 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Thomas W. Hoff, age 23, 116 Belaire Drive, Marietta, for .17 breath OVI. Patrolling State Route 60 after receiving reports of an intoxicated driver, Deputy Holbert located Mr. Hoff standing by his vehicle along State Route 821. Deputy Holbert detected a strong odor of alcohol about Mr. Hoff and noticed he had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. Mr. Hoff was unaware of his location and drunkenly believed he was on State Route 26 near Sandhill Road. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests Mr. Hoff was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Hoff tested .270 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Patricia Ann Bonar, age 35, 146 Stone Quarry Drive, Fleming, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bonar was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 1:16 am.

Evan Dean Hendershot, age 25, 555 Lang Farm Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hendershot was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 1:53 am.

Joseph Carl Morehouse, age 48, 19639 State Route 550, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Morehouse was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 4:00 am.

Tony Alan Hedges Jr., age 31, 380 Vanderhoof Road, Coolville, for theft, a misdemeanor. Hedges was picked up in Coolville by Sgt. Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 10:35 am.

Thomas William Hoff, age 23, 116 Belaire Drive, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Hoff was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 3:43 pm.

Derik Michael Wittekind, age 21, Franklin Street, Marietta, for four felony counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Wittekind was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 7:12 pm.

Damien Alexander Hines, age 20, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and for underage consumption of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Hines was arrested on Muskingum Drive by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jul 12 at 10:10 pm.
