On 19 Jul 12 Rachel N. Kuhn, age 30, 1600 Michaelis Road, Marietta, reported she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, William J. Glessner, age 46. Continuing a tirade that began earlier in the evening, Mr. Glessner yelled at his girlfriend and would not allow her to exit their bedroom. When Ms. Kuhn approached the doorway Mr. Glessner used an open hand to shove her backwards by her face. Ms. Kuhn also stated she jammed her finger during the incident and was unable to bend it properly. Confirming Ms. Kuhn’s statement with witnesses, Sgt. Hornbeck arrested Mr. Glessner for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 19 Jul 12 Steve Yoho, age 60, 1470 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, reported at some point during the past week an unknown suspect(s) pried open a door to his storage building and stole two Stihl chainsaws, a generator and a gallon of chainsaw oil. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $1,000. Mr. Yoho’s neighbor, Henry McNabb, age 56, 1355 Laurel Ridge Road, said he was also unable to find a chainsaw he used a week earlier. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 19 Jul 12 an employee of AEP reported at some point during the past week an unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced area at the power substation at 394 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta, and removed approximately fifty feet of ground wire. The employee said the wire has an estimated worth of $500 and that in order to repair the substation the local customers would be without power for nearly an hour. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jamie Scott Alenskis, age 49, 1322 Bedford Avenue, Brooklkyn, NY, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Alenskis was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 12:19 am.

William Joseph Glessner, age 46, 1600 Michaelis Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Glessner was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 3:23 am.

Tor Lamont Hill Jr., age 19, 1104 26th Street Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Hill was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 10:54 am.

Christopher Edward Byrd, age 24, 9626 State Route 555, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation, failure to appear and theft, all misdemeanors. Byrd was arrested in Bartlett by Deputy Sheriff Maze and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 7:56 pm.

Jeffrey Scott McAtee, age 35, 104 Grandview Avenue Apt. 3, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McAtee was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 8:09 pm.

Jamie Scott Alenskis, age 49, 1322 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, for being an intoxicated pedestrian along a roadway, a misdemeanor. Alenskis was arrested on Gilman Avenue by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 12 at 11:18 pm.
