Archive of 07-08-12

On 8 Jul 12 Dustin Hollingsworth, age 36, 240 Hollywood Drive, Little Hocking, reported he and his wife departed for vacation on 27 Jun and when they returned on 8 Jul they discovered their home had been burglarized and two of their vehicles were driven without permission. Mr. Hollingsworth said nothing was stolen from the home and that his truck, which had a half of tank of gas before he left, was now almost empty. Additionally, Mr. Hollingsworth stated a neighbor sent him a text message while he was away, asking why his Camaro was parked along the roadway. This case remains under investigation (1104).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeremy John Nicholas, age 33, 120 Ward Street, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of assault. Nicholas was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 12 at 1:14 am.

Michael John Hall, age 39, 2071 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, driving outside the marked lanes of travel and not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Hall was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 12 at 1:43 am.

David Chalmer Philpott, age 47, 4537 Siloam Road, East Bin, NC, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Philpott was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 12 at 3:40 am.

Jeremy Paul Sargent, age 29, 728 1/2 Fifth Street Apt. A, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Sargent was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 12 at 4:36 pm.

James Melvin Mayle Jr., age 52, 3933 Three Rivers Lane, Groveport, OH, for possession of criminal tools and for illegal cultivation of marijuana, both felonies. Mayle was arrested on Clark Road in Cutler by Detective Staats of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 12 at 5:07 pm.
