On 30 Jun 12 the Marietta Fire Department responded to a fire in the generator room of the Washington County Courthouse Annex. The fire originated in the exhaust fan in the generator room and caused minimal damage before it was extinguished (296).

On 30 Jun 12 Connie Hagar, age 46, 575 Michaelis Road, Marietta, reported sometime the previous day she believes Josh Martin, age 25, 681 State Route 821, Marietta, stole three batteries, a jump box and a generator from her property. Though Mr. Martin denied stealing the generator, Deputy Sheriff McConnell observed the stolen item outside Mr. Martin’s home. Mr. Martin later admitted traveling to Ms. Hagar’s residence along with Ms. Hagar’s son, Michael Farnsworth, age 23, 233 Main Street, Lowell, and stealing the generator. Consequently, Deputy McConnell requested summonses for Mr. Martin and Mr. Farnsworth for theft. No other stolen property was located.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kevin Cole Siegfried, age 31, 807 Gilman Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Siegfried was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jun 12 at 4:03 am.
