On 28 Jun 12 Bonita R. Loving, age 45, 122 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, reported that she was missing a 9-11 Commemorative knife, valued at approximately $125.00. This case remains under investigation. (594)

On 28 Jun 12 a manager at the Reno Mini-Mart, 26960 State Route 7, Marietta, reported the store’s cash register was $200 short at the end of an employee’s shift. Viewing surveillance footage, Deputy Sheriff McPeek observed Jamie Barton, 35, 3769 Bells Run Road, Newport, placing money from the cash register in her undergarment. When questioned, Ms. Barton admitted putting the cash in her clothing but claimed she forgot to retrieve change for a $100 bill she earlier put in the cash register. As for the other $100, Ms. Barton insisted that a customer gave her a $100 tip. Asked if customers gave $100 tips, the store’s manager called the claim ridiculous. Based on his investigation, Deputy McPeek requested a summons for Ms. Barton for theft.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Colten W. Pugh, 1110 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent for failure to appear for a pretrial on a charge of OVI.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Noble Isaac Gibson III, age 31, 1505 Carrol Street, Zanesville, for a misdemeanor charge of assault. Gibson turned himself in on the warrant at the Washington County Jail where he was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Sheaves and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Jun 12 at 3:25 p.m.
