On 23 Jun 12 Tammie Ruth, age 47, 1630 Braun
Road, Belpre, reported her son, Jonathan, became enraged at
the residence because of important papers being ruined, at which
time he threw a video game controller striking his mother. Jonathan
stated he did not intentionally mean to hit his mother when
he threw the controller. Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Jonathan
M. Ruth, age 22, for domestic violence and transported him to
the Washington County Jail. (610, 126)
On 23 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff McPeek responded
to 23360 State Rte 26, New Matamoras, in reference to a break
in at the Ludlow Oil and Gas Co. Missing from the business were
several pieces of oil well equipment, valued at approximately
$1600.00. The case remains under investigation. (912)
On 23 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider was dispatched
to 2320 State Rte 339, Belpre, in reference to Robert Corbett
being pinned under a tractor. Prior to Deputy Caltrider’s
arrival the Little Hocking EMS transported Mr. Corbett to St.
Joseph’s Hospital. Deputy Caltrider spoke to the victim
at the hospital. He stated he was mowing when he lost control
and the mower rolled onto him. (208)
On 23 Jun 12 Lt. Gherke responded to 5028 State
Rte 60, Marietta, OH, reference to a wallet and contents belonging
to a Terrance L. Boyce, age 57, Parkersburg, WV, being found
at that location. Contact will be made with Mr. Boyce to return
his property to him.
On 23 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert was dispatched
to 339 Racetrack, 1595 Woodruff Road, Barlow, in reference to
an intoxicated and disorderly subject. Witnesses stated that
the subject, identified as Derek Miller, was advised by several
individuals to leave the racetrack due to him being belligerent
and a nuisance to other spectators. Mr. Miller continued by
throwing beer cans and rocks at a tour bus at the racetrack.
Derek Miller, age 32, 30 Sunflower Street, Williamstown, WV,
was arrested by Deputy Holbert for disorderly conduct, criminal
damaging and criminal trespassing and was transported to the
Washington County Jail.
On 23 Jun 12 Zachary Goudy, age 24, 139 Second
Street, Vincent, reported that his unattached garage was entered
sometime after 21 Jun 12. He advised that missing was a Dewalt
drill and grinder, and a Craftsman socket kit. Total value of
items taken is $460.00. This case remains under investigation.
On 23 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Reeder was dispatched
to Macksburg in reference to an unruly 14 year old. After the
initial investigation the parent did not wish to pursue charges
and a refusal to prosecute form was obtained.

Lane, Apt. A2, Zanesville, for a felony charge of drug possession.
Thompson was arrested on Washington Street, Marietta by Patrolman
Estes of the Marietta Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 12 at 1:23 a.m.
Jack William Alvarex, age 24, 211 Maple Street,
Belpre, for a misdemeanor charge of OVI and Failure to Control.
Alvarez was arrested on State Rte 60 by Trooper Bettinger of
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Jun 12 at 8:30 a.m.
Jonathan Michael Ruth, age 22, 1630 Braun Road,
Belpre, for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Ruth
was arrested at the residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 12 at 3:38 p.m.
Jeffrey Allen Joy, age 42, Harris Street, Newport,
for a felony charge of Violation of a Protection Order. Joy
was arrested at 52777 Clark Road, Coolville, by Lt. Gherke and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 12 at 9:21
Mark Allen Burke, age 58, 101A Muskingum Terrace,
Marietta, for a charge of contempt of court order. Burke was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 23 Jun 12 at 10:30 p.m.
Derek Dwayne Miller, age 32, 30 Sunflower Street,
Williamstown, WV, for a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct
while intoxicated, criminal damaging and criminal trespassing.
Miller was arrested at the 339 Racetrack by Deputy Sheriff Holbert
