On 12 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-seven year old Cutler resident.
The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes;
no foul play is suspected.
On 12 Jun 12 Sgt. Hornbeck arrested Colleen
R. Cody, age 55, 420 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, for disorderly
conduct. Ms. Cody phoned for help claiming two people were in
her home and had taken her purse and cut her phone line. When
Deputies arrived they noticed Ms. Cody was agitated and acting
in an irrational manner. Ms. Cody later became combative and
was forcibly taken into custody. No evidence of intruders were
found at the scene.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Colleen Rose Cody, age 55, 420 Cole-Coffman
Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Cody was
arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hornbeck of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Jun 12 at 5:31 pm.
Joshua Edward Carpenter, age 25, 100 Fairground
Road, Woodsfield, for felony and misdemeanor charges of failure
to appear. Carpenter was picked up at the Monroe County line
by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 12 at
