On 8 Jun 12 Howard Rowan, age 61, 108 Berry Lane, Marietta, reported on 6 Jun three teenagers stopped outside his home claiming they were searching for a friend’s residence. Mr. Rowan stated he allowed one of the teenagers to use his bathroom and he believes while the suspect was in there he stole two bottles of his prescription medication. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 8 Jun 12 Meriah Dunn, age 21, 9630 State Route 260, New Matamoras, reported she was away from her residence between 8 pm and 11:30 pm and at some point during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered her home. Ms. Dunn said the suspect(s) stole a fifty-five inch television, a Wii, several Wii games, a laptop computer and three samurai style swords. This case remains under investigation (912).

On 8 Jun 12 Jessica Stevens, age 30, Cornerville Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in an argument with her live-in boyfriend. Ms. Stevens said her boyfriend grabbed her by the arms and pushed her but she did not feel he was trying to harm her. Determining no act of domestic violence occurred, Sgt. Smeeks closed this case as unfounded.

On 8 Jun 12 Corrections Officer Farrell submitted a grand jury brief supporting a second degree felony charge of illegal possession of a weapon in a detention facility on Washington County Jail inmate Christopher L. Wyckoff, age 26, Blue Grass Village Lot 80, Morgantown, WV. Receiving information that Mr. Wyckoff was in possession of a weapon, Corrections Officers conducted a search of Mr. Wyckoff and discovered a toothbrush that was sharpened to a point on one end.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ryan Scott Watson, age 22, 1350 State Route 821, Marietta, for obstructing official business, criminal trespassing and menacing by stalking, all misdemeanors. Watson was arrested on Mitchells Lane by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jun 12 at 9:07 pm.

Jeremy John Nicholas, age 33, 120 Ward Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Nicholas was arrested on Ward Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jun 12 at 9:35 pm.
