On 6 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff McPeek responded to a report of an intoxicated driver seated in a vehicle at the Pit Stop at 3355 State Route 821, Marietta. When Deputy McPeek arrived at the scene he observed Timothy M. Smith, age 54, 5745 Sandhill Road, Marietta, in the vehicle as well as an open bottle of beer, a bottle of whiskey and the unopened bottles of beer. Mr. Smith, who had bloodshot eyes and slurred his speech, admitted consuming alcohol and stumbled as he exited his vehicle. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Smith was arrested for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Smith tested .166 BAC.

On 6 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Daniel S. Metz, age 41, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, for failure to confine/restrain a dog. An anonymous caller reported Mr. Metz’s dog was loose and Deputy Schubert found the animal in the area. Previously warned to confine his dog, Mr. Metz said his pet was inside the home when he left and may have escaped out a window.

On 6 Jun 12 Jo Ann Greathouse, age 75, 6090 Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported at some point during the past four days an unknown suspect(s) pried open the door to a barn on her property. Ms. Greathouse believes the only item missing is a gas can containing an unknown volume of gasoline. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 6 Jun 12 Blake E. Amos, age 58, 852 Clark Road, Cutler, reported he recently discovered the catalytic converter was cut off a GMC truck parked on his property. Mr. Amos was unsure when the theft occurred but believes it was after the first of February. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 6 Jun 12 an employee of Promanco reported at some point during the past several days an unknown suspect(s) entered a vacant residence the company owns at 1980 Glendale Road, Marietta. Suspect(s) previously stole the metal cistern cover and on this occasion cut several feet of copper pipe from the basement. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Mark Smith, age 54, 5745 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested in Lower Salem by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 12 at 2:44 am.

Richard Allen Dussing, age 36, 3343 Market Street, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of receiving stolen property and misdemeanor charges of .08 breath OVI, operating a vehicle with an expired license and driving left of center. Dussing was arrested on Virginia Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 12 at 3:00 am.

Charles Dickerson Reynolds, age 19, 3860 State Route 676, Stockport, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Reynolds was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 12 at 1:00 pm.

Keith Allen Drake, age 25, 407 Fourth Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Drake was arrested near the intersection of Second and Butler streets by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 12 at 1:23 pm.

Stephanie Lynn McKeown, age 37, 815 Warrior Drive, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McKeown was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 12 at 2:13 pm.
