On 5 Jun 12 a Little Hocking resident reported his son found several items under a bridge near their property at the intersection of Twin Bridge Road and State Route 555. The recovered items were: a .22 pistol, a .380 pistol, two digital cameras, a flashlight, a tape measure and a container of ammunition. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 5 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Reeder issued a citation to Gary Berrigan, age 44, 560 W. 43rd Street Apt. 12E, New York, NY, for traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Reeder stopped Mr. Berrigan on State Route 60 near milepost ten in Adams Township.

On 5 Jun 12 a thirty-one year old Whipple resident reported she was speaking to her husband via phone when he made several threatening comments. After the victim hung up, her ex-husband continued to phone her and left multiple threatening voicemails. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 5 Jun 12 a Lowell resident reported his son was fishing along 6255 Highland Ridge Road when he discovered a broken safe containing a calculator and a financial ledger with the name of Scott Depot Dairy Queen on it. The safe appears to match the description of one that was stolen from the Dairy Queen two days earlier. Deputy Sheriff Caltrider contacted the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to take custody of the safe for their investigation.

On 5 Jun 12 Gene McKnight, age 62, reported he dismantled a storage building he owned on his daughter’s property at 3500 County Road 9, Marietta, and he was an informed by a neighbor that the parts of the building were stolen. Mr. McKnight said the stolen trusses, metal roofing and cattle gates were worth approximately $2,500. This case remains under investigation (912).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Anthony Craig Tates, age 53, 4334 State Route 676, Stockport, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tates was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 1:03 am.

Tammy Lenora Chenoweth, age 46, 105 Montero Drive, Parkersburg, for OVI, for not stopping at a stop sign and for making an improper lane change, all misdemeanors. Chenoweth was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 4:55 am.

Lynsey Brooke Erb, age 24, 50780 State Route 7, New Matamoras, for theft, littering and for contempt of a court order, all misdemeanors. Erb was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 9:32 am.

Daron Lee Voshel, age 35, 2626 Barth Road, Belpre, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Voshel was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 10:09 am.

Sara Kay Hewitt, age 18, 1505 Cale Street, Parkersburg, for menacing, a misdemeanor. Hewitt turned herself in to Deputy Sheriff Holbert and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 3:40 pm.

Thomas Daniel Lott, age 20, 1505 Cale Street, Parkersburg, for menacing, a misdemeanor. Lott turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Holbert and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 3:50 pm.

James Warren Smith, age 25, 127 Euclid Street, Marietta, for five misdemeanor counts of theft. Smith was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 12 at 10:10 pm.
