On 1 Jun 12 Crystal Thomas, age 26, 62 Brush Road, Marietta, reported she wrote a check to a vendor at Rinks for $8.56 on 25 May and she later learned when the check was cashed the payment amount was altered to read $80.56. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 1 Jun 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts was dispatched to Camden Clark Hospital in response to the death of a ten day old Vincent resident. The cause of the infant’s death does not appear to be suspicious. However, pursuant to law, the child is scheduled to undergo an autopsy at the West Virginia State Medical Examiner.

On 1 Jun 12 the owner of Gary’s Towing, 1409 Pike Street, Marietta, reported an employee who was recently terminated did not turn in his company gasoline credit card and subsequently used it to purchase $333 in gasoline for his personal vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 1 Jun 12 Earl W. Thompson, age 52, 852 County House Lane, Marietta, reported he spent the night at the home of an acquaintance and he believes while he slept a person at the home stole his debit card. The suspect(s) then used the card to withdraw more than $2,000 from Mr. Thompson’s account. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 1 Jun 12 Sgt. Smeeks issued a citation to Bobbi R. Christy, age 36, E. State Street, The Plains, OH, for not wearing a seat belt. Sgt. Smeeks originally stopped Ms. Christy for speeding on State Route 7 near milepost fourteen in Warren Township.

On 1 Jun 12 Dianne Gallagher, age 57, 445 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, reported she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, Christopher Rounsley, age 34. Mr. Rounsley was intoxicated and angry that Ms. Gallagher poured out the remainder of his beer when he fell down a set of stairs. When Ms. Gallagher checked on him, Mr. Rounsley shoved her to the floor, punched her and repeatedly struck her in the head with a shoe. Ms. Gallagher’s son, who lives nearby, responded to the pleas of his mother and punched Mr. Rounsley in the stomach, ending the altercation. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Mr. Rounsley for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark Randolph Maynard, age 45, 103 Woodrow Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Maynard was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 12 at 1:18 am.

Vickie Marie Thompson, age 29, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 40, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at Lot 26 on Starlite Drive by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 12 at 4:59 am.

Ruthia Dulcia Rhodes, age 25, 615 Montgomery Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor charges of escape and disorderly conduct by intoxication. Rhodes was arrested on Franklin Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 12 at 7:17 pm.

Gary Lee Losey II, age 30, 818 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and for theft, both misdemeanors. Losey was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 12 at 10:08 pm.
