On 29 May 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts and the Barlow Fire Department responded to a fire at the home of Vicky Johnson, age 57, at 678 Walsh Road, Vincent. The fire originated in the kitchen of the home and caused significant damage. Unable to determine the cause of the fire, the Barlow fire chief summoned the State Fire Marshal’s Office to conduct an investigation. No injuries were reported.

On 29 May 12 Isaac S. McPeek, age 34, 202 Phillips Street, Marietta, reported a neighbor of a vacant residence he owns at 504 Broadview Avenue, New Matamoras, informed him that he believed someone broke into the home. Mr. McPeek does not have any property in the home but noticed that approximately $500 of copper pipe was cut from the basement. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 29 May 12 Larry W. Harris, age 58, 3415 Duck Creek Road, Lower Salem, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) disposed of a large amount of household items, clothing and trash on his property. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Glenn Allen Starling, age 24, 1111 Glenn Street, Parkersburg, for contempt of a court order and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Starling was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 2:35 am.

Steven Christopher Boggs, age 18, Walton, WV, for possession of drug paraphernalia, for operating a vehicle without a license and for failure to yield at a flashing signal, all misdemeanors. Boggs was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 4:20 am.

Kevin Paul Miller, age 39, 322 State Route 550, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Miller turned himself in to Patrolman Hupp at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 10:03 am.

Carl Dennis Robinson, age 18, 235 Johnson Road, Marietta, for underage possession of alcohol and for breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Robinson was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 11:53 am.

Melanie Ann Lewis, age 23, 130 Third Street, Malta, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Lewis turned herself in to Sgt. Hornbeck at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 2:09 pm.

Bill Martin Ball, age 38, 1618 Covert Street, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Ball was arrested at the office of his Probation Officer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 4:14 pm.

Kasey Glen Rowe, age 22, 1716 Sassafras Run Road, Weston, WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Rowe was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 5:59 pm.

Michael Dale Valentine, age 34, 312 Harmar Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Valentine was arrested on Wooster Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 12 at 9:33 pm.
