Archive of 05-26-12

On 26 May 12 Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriffs Caltrider and Ferguson responded to the scene of death of a seventy year old Cutler resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 26 May 12 an employee at the 7-Up/RC Warehouse at 876 State Route 618, Belpre, reported when he arrived at work that morning he noticed the padlock on the front gate to the property was forcibly removed. A supervisor said the warehouse itself is alarmed and the alarm had not been tripped. No property appears missing. This case remains under investigation (1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Daryl Eugene Moore, age 33, 12497 State Route 260, New Matamoras, for possession of a controlled substance and for littering. Moore was arrested on Butler Road in Newport by the US Forest Service and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 3:27 am.

Lynsey Brooke Erb, age 24, Greene Street, Newport, for possession of a controlled substance. Erb was arrested on Butler Road in Newport by the US Forest Service and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 3:51 am.

Jeremy John Nicholas, age 33, 120 Ward Street, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct. Nicholas was arrested on Franklin Street by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 4:23 am.

James Clinton Bartimus, age 39, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for breaking and entering, a felony. Bartimus was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 10:14 am.

Timothy Jay Smith, age 21, 600 Fourth Street, Williamstown, for two misdemeanor counts of public indecency. Smith was arrested at K-Mart by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 1:20 pm.

Brandon Scott Morgan, age 28, 232 Seventh Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Morgan was arrested at Broughton’s by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 May 12 at 4:22 pm.
