On 23 May 12 Lt. Norman requested a summons for a sixteen year old Lowell resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by burglary. A neighbor of the juvenile, Craig Bloomfield, age 53, 322 Fifth Street, Lowell, reported Sunday afternoon that when he returned from church an iPod and a laptop computer were missing from his son’s bedroom. A suspect in a previous theft of currency from his father, the teenage suspect initially denied stealing the items. However, when the teenager’s sister said her brother was out of the home during the timeframe of the burglary, the suspect confessed to his father. The stolen property, along with a Wii that Mr. Bloomfield did not realize was missing, was returned.

On 23 May 12 Marsha Smith, age 42, 15147 State Route 26, Marietta, reported when she arrived at her residence her son, Brian K. McKinney, age 26, appeared intoxicated. Due to previous problems she’s had with her son while he was intoxicated, Ms. Smith asked Mr. McKinney to move out of her home and back into his uncle’s residence where he lived previously. Mr. McKinney grew enraged, began cursing and threatened to kill his mother. Mr. McKinney proceeded to break items outside the home and kicked a shed door off its hinges. Determining Ms. Smith feared for her safety, Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Mr. McKinney for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 23 May 12 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Tyler R. Horner, age 22, 5028 Veto Road, Vincent, for traveling 62 mph in a 45 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Horner on State Route 339 near milepost four in Dunham Township.

On 23 May 12 Angela K. Miller, age 48, 9322 State Route 550, Vincent, reported her husband, Kevin, age 39, was angry that he saw a coupon for cigarettes on the kitchen table and began an invective directed at her. During his tirade Mr. Miller kicked his wife in the backside and threatened to kill her if she phoned law enforcement. Based on Mrs. Miller’s account, Sgt. Mankins requested a warrant for Mr. Miller for domestic violence.

On 23 May 12 Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to Randolph E. Rexroad, age 35, 173 Riverview Estate Lot 21, Saint Marys, for not wearing a seat belt. Sgt. Mankins originally stopped Mr. Rexroad for operating an Ohio licensed vehicle without a front license plate on State Route 7 near Bramblewood Heights Road in Warren Township.

On 23 May 12 Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to John Glazer, age 50, 7100 N. Blackburn Road, Athens, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Sgt. Mankins stopped Mr. Glazer on State Route 7 near Veto Road in Warren Township.

On 23 May 12 Sgt. Smeeks issued a citation to Natalie Schoonover, age 39, 819 Chestnut Street, Lancaster, OH, for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Sgt. Smeeks stopped Ms. Schoonover on State Route 618 near State Route 339 in Belpre Township.

On 23 May 12 Sgt. Smeeks issued a citation to Sharon Reams, age 30, 407 Stone Road, Belpre, for operating a vehicle with license plates that expired in March 2012. Sgt. Smeeks stopped Ms. Reams on State Route 7 near Eramet in Warren Township.

On 23 May 12 James Robinson, age 82, 4135 Stanleyville Road, Marietta, reported he recently learned an individual mowed his lawn without permission and stole an ATV from his property. Mr. Robinson resides elsewhere and stated he did not give anyone permission to enter or remove items from his property. This case remains under investigation (910).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jerrianne Krystal Myers, age 18, 120 Ward Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Myers was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 12 at 9:52 am.

Devan Wade Anderson, age 21, 637 Martin Drive, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Anderson was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 12 at 10:40 am.

Brooke Michele Miller, age 29, 1204 Hocking Road, Belpre, for falsification and assault, both misdemeanors. Miller turned herself in to Sgt. Mankins was arrested at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 12 at 1:45 pm.

Jerry Dawayne Smith, age 25, 1482 Dutton Hill Road, Macksburg, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs and a misdemeanor charge of contempt of a court order. Smith was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Huffer was arrested and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 12 at 4:05 pm.

Brian Keith McKinney, age 26, 15147 State Route 26, Reno, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McKinney was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 12 at 8:53 pm.
