Archive of 05-13-12

On 13 May 12 Marsha Leasure, age 60, 110 Wrights Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in a minor squabble with her husband. During argument over footprints Mrs. Leasure found in a recently cleaned floor, Mrs. Leasure’s husband threw a remote control that struck his wife in the chest. Neither party reported being in fear for their safety nor did they say any threats or violence took place during the incident. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Reeder closed this case as unfounded.

On 13 May 12 Lt. Stackpole responded to reports of an intoxicated individual walking down the centerline in the vicinity of the 400 block of County House Lane. When Lt. Stackpole asked what he was doing, the suspect, Glen Church, age 49, 502 Barclay Street, Belpre, replied that he was “walking the line for him.” Mr. Church admitted drinking two beers. Questioned about how large the beers were, Mr. Church said they were “24’s.” For his safety, Mr. Church was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Church tested .168 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Wilfred Mahoney, age 21, 215 Fifth Street, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Mahoney was arrested near the intersection of Second and Greene streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 12 at 3:30 am.

Michael John Hall, age 39, 1012 Hadley Lane, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 12 at 4:16 am.

Jakeb Michael Bailey, age 21, 96 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for OVI, failure to control and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Bailey was arrested on Watertown Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 12 at 8:00 am.

Glen Edward Church, age 49, 502 Barclay Street, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Church was arrested on County House Lane by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 12 at 10:30 am.
