On 4 May 12 Deputies and Detectives responded to the scene of death of a twenty-nine year old Macksburg resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.

On 4 May 12 Lt. Rhodes issued a citation to Jordan N. Shaw, age 23, 21 Adams Street Apt. 5, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with license plates that expired in January 2012. Lt. Rhodes stopped Mr. Shaw near the intersection of Greene and Second streets in Marietta.

On 4 May 12 Stephanie Dunn, age 28, 1170 ½ Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported she was threatened and assaulted by her husband, Aaron, age 35. Arriving home intoxicated, Mr. Dunn accused his wife of speaking on the phone to a man who he believed was her boyfriend. Thereafter, Mr. Dunn threatened to kill his wife and her boyfriend. An argument on the porch of the residence followed, during which time Mr. Dunn shoved his wife with both hands. Mr. Dunn then poured a soda on his wife and she fled to a nearby relative’s home. Determining Mrs. Dunn was in fear for her safety during the incident, Deputy Sheriff Simmons arrested Mr. Dunn for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 4 May 12 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for a sixteen year old Waterford resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by possession of marijuana. At Waterford High School that afternoon the juvenile was found in possession of 2.9 grams of marijuana concealed in a circular beef jerky can.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Michael Grodhaus, age 34, 3363 State Route 78 West, Malta, for a felony charge of failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, driving under an FRA suspended license and speeding. Grodhaus was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 12 at 12:25 am.

Aaron Lee Dunn, age 35, 1170 ½ Goose Run Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arrested at his residence by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 12 at 11:10 pm.
