On 29 Apr 12 Sheila Gore, age 45, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, reported sometime between 18 Apr and 22 Apr an unknown suspect(s) entered a storage building on her property and stole a large number of items. The stolen property includes three air conditioners, a generator, hand tools, welding equipment and saws. Ms. Gore estimates the stolen items are worth in excess of $8,000. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 29 Apr 12 Patrick Garrett, age 49, 10015 County Road 9, Reno, reported a neighbor of his property at 105 Bear Run Road, Reno, informed him an unknown male with a scruffy beard was parked in his driveway. When Mr. Garrett inspected his property he determined a toolbox, a bench vise and an outdoor light were missing. This case remains under investigation (912).

On 29 Apr 12 Gregory Trotter, age 37, 134 Barth Road, Belpre, reported at some point during the past week an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered his home and a storage building on his property. From the two locations, Mr. Trotter said three saws, two rifles, a bass guitar and a digital camera were stolen. This case remains under investigation (1293).

On 29 Apr 12 Kathleen Wriston, age 56, 421 Second Street, Vincent, reported she recently noticed a small safe in a spared bedroom appeared to have been tampered with. Ms. Wriston had difficulty opening the safe with its key and noticed $1,800 was missing from inside it. This case remains under investigation (1293).

On 29 Apr 12 Emily Chandler, age 32, 315 Harmar Street, Marietta, reported she was involved in an altercation with her live-in boyfriend, David Evans, age 36, as they traveled southbound on Interstate 77 near milepost six. Ms. Chandler said she believes Mr. Evans was upset that she was consuming alcohol when he picked her up from a party and instigated an argument. The argument escalated to a point where Mr. Evans punched Ms. Chandler in the face. Ms. Chandler broke a fingernail as she defended herself and inflicted scratched on Mr. Evans’ face in self defense. Mr. Evans admitted being in a dispute with Ms. Chandler but claimed he struck her in self defense. During his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Holbert discovered there was a protection order in effect that was issued in Noble County that prohibited Mr. Evans from being in contact Ms. Chandler. Based on his investigation, Deputy Holbert arrested Mr. Evans for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 29 Apr 12 Russel Parsons, age 36, 1148 Farson Street, Belpre, reported when he and his family returned home from an out of town trip they discovered an ATV, two motorcycles, two crossbows and two five gallon gas cans were missing from their property. A neighbor informed Mr. Parsons that a group of individuals with a pickup truck loaded the items into the vehicle the morning of 28 Apr and said the suspects did not act suspiciously. This case remains under investigation (1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Marvin Ray Ruble Jr., age 39, 412 Lord Street, Marietta, for felony charges of failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and unauthorized use of a vehicle and misdemeanor charges of .17 breath OVI, driving under a suspended license, failure to reinstate his operator’s license, failure to control, failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead and two counts of hit-skip. Ruble was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 12 at 1:08 am.

Rockelle Lashay Williams, age 22, 44 Brookwood Way, Mansfield, OH, for two misdemeanor counts of assault. Williams was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 12 at 2:15 am.

David Wayne Evans, age 36, 16120 State Route 821, Macksburg, for domestic violence and for violating the terms of a protection order, both misdemeanors. Evans was arrested on Harmar Street by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 12 at 3:40 am.

Gary Lee Losey, age 30, 818 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Losey was arrested at the Tiger Stop by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Apr 12 at 8:25 pm.
