On 22 Apr 12 Kimberly Goff, age 35, 50 State Route 339, Belpre, reported she was involved in a dispute with her husband, Denver, age 41. Angry that his stepdaughter was not cleaning her room, Mr. Goff initiated an argument as he threw his stepdaughter’s clothing downstairs to their basement. While doing so, Mr. Goff grabbed his wife’s wrist and twisted it until it cracked. Mrs. Goff fled from the home with her three year old son and phoned for help. Though Mr. Goff denied touching his wife during the incident, Mrs. Goff’s right wrist was red and swollen. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Underwood arrested Mr. Goff for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 22 Apr 12 Latisha Efaw, age 34, 170 Charles Street, Newport, reported she stopped at Byers Exxon in Newport to purchase coffee and during the brief time she was inside the store an unknown male stole her purse and nursing bag. A review of security footage identified the suspect as Michael Hendrickson, age 48, 170 Browns Lane Apt. C, Newport. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff McConnell, Mr. Hendrickson denied taking any items from Ms. Efaw’s vehicle. However, when Deputy McConnell was given permission to search Mr. Hendrickson’s vehicle he discovered a blood pressure cuff that was missing from Ms. Efaw’s vehicle. Ms. Efaw recovered a portion of her belongings but was still missing a debit card, cash and her wallet. Mr. Hendrickson was arrested for theft and transported to the Washington County Jail.
