On 21 Apr 12 Jennifer Daggett, age 48, 2263 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) removed her mailbox from its post and threw it into a ditch on her property. This case remains under investigation (608).

On 21 Apr 12 a neighbor reported observing a male subject passed out on the porch of the residence at 35 Brooks Lane, Lowell. Awakened by Deputy Sheriff Metts, the suspect, Andrew Dryburgh, age 29, 64 Aqua Isle, Parkersburg, said he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend after the two left a downtown bar and were traveling northbound on State Route 60. Mr. Dryburgh said he exited the vehicle and began walking but was unaware of his location and was unsure where he was going. For his safety, Mr. Dryburgh was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 21 Apr 12 Charles Loy Jr., age 38, 101 Evans Street Apt. 2, New Matamoras, reported he believes his live-in girlfriend stole his personal safe that contained approximately $700. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 21 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff McKee requested a summons for a fifteen year old Waterford resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by domestic violence. During an argument with his eleven year old sister, the teenager beat on a bathroom door so much that he broke it. The victim said her brother has hit her in the past and that she feared for her safety during her brother’s tirade.

On 21 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Robert J. Cantwell, age 19, 14701 Serdy Road, Caldwell, for three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. On three occasions between February and April of this year Mr. Cantwell engaged in consensual sexual relations with his fifteen year old girlfriend, a Caldwell resident, at locations in Macksburg.

On 21 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Joshua Denton, age 24, 1316 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for OVI, driving left of center and possession of marijuana. Stopped after crossing the centerline and nearly striking Deputy McKee’s cruiser, Mr. Denton had an odor of alcohol and an open can of beer in the console of his vehicle. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Denton was arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Denton produced a bag that contained a small quantity of marijuana. Mr. Denton tested .142 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert James Cantwell, age 19, 301 Broad Street, Macksburg, for three felony counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Cantwell was picked up at the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 1:25 am.

Jonathan Darrell Hart, age 23, 115 Hart Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hart was arrested on Front Street by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 2:00 am.

Clint Ryan Carpenter, age 29, 12395 County Nine Road, Newport, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 2:40 am.

Joshua Cole Denton, age 24, 1316 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for OVI and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Denton was arrested on State Route 676 by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 3:35 am.

Stephen Patrick Scohy, age 20, 18 Hills Drive, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Scohy was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 6:48 am.

Tonya June Davis, age 42, 314 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Wright of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 6:59 am.

Andrew Thomas Dryburgh, age 29, 64 Aqua Isle, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Dryburgh was arrested on Brooks Lane in Lowell by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 7:27 am.

Christie Dawn Mallett, age 35, 4812 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, for driving under an OVI suspended license, obstructing official business and for violating the terms of her probation, all misdemeanors. Mallett was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 12 at 2:50 pm.
