On 19 Apr 12 Lt. Stackpole and the Barlow, Dunham and Little Hocking fire departments responded to a fire at a weekend home/hunting cabin at 955 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler. Owned by Elisha Carney, age 42, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted to determine the cause of the fire.

On 19 Apr 12 Todd Wetz, age 44, 3808 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported sometime between 12:45 pm and 7 pm an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole a can of loose change, a toolbox, two cordless drills and a Wii system with Guitar Hero accessories. The total value of the stolen items is over $400. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 19 Apr 12 Kimberly Sohrenssen, age 40, 680 Main Street, Waterford, reported she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Richard Finley, age 50. Intoxicated and angry, Mr. Finley shoved Ms. Sohrenssen’s head against a wall and then punched her in the nose and side of her head. As Ms. Sohrenssen fled to a neighbor’s home, Mr. Finley shouted that he would kill her if she contacted law enforcement. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Anderson arrested Mr. Finley for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Julie Ann Watson, age 35, 319 Gilman Avenue Lot 1, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Watson was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 12:27 am.

Hali Rachelle Hogue, age 18, 117 Cloverdale Estates Apt. 9, Saint Marys, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hogue was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 2:48 am.

Christopher Lee Baughman, age 19, Route 1 Box 93, Petroleum, WV, for underage consumption of alcohol, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Baughman was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 3:07 am.

Desmond Michael Huff, age 19, 31 Double H Farm Road, Pennsboro, WV, for underage consumption of alcohol, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Huff was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 3:21 am.

Shane Michael Hardie, age 36, 1125 Pike Street, Parkersburg, for breach of recognizance, a felony. Hardie was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Huffer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 1:21 pm.

Jeremy Dean Johnson, age 20, 52 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Belpre, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 6:00 pm.

Richard Allen Finley, age 50, 680 Main Street, Waterford, for domestic violence, a felony. Finley was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Anderson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 12 at 10:00 pm.
