On 15 Apr 12 Sgt. Smeeks arrested Daniel Sealey, age 24, 2315 School House Road, Little Hocking, for possession of Schedule IV drugs. Investigating a report that Mr. Sealey made suicidal comments, Sgt. Smeeks noticed Mr. Sealey had slurred speech and glassy, watery eyes. Mr. Sealey admitted ingesting two Xanax pills and drinking alcohol that afternoon. A pat down for weapons of Mr. Sealey produced a prescription bottle containing eight Xanax pills and forty-one Valium pills. Mr. Sealey commented that he needs the pills to stay calm and to help him sleep but he does not have prescriptions for them. He denied making any suicidal comments.

On 15 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider requested summonses for Derek Rockhold, age 23, and Christopher Cavanagh, age 32, both of 46 Hickory Drive, Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Arguing over household bills, chores and other issues, a physical altercation erupted between the two. Mr. Cavanagh received treatment for facial injuries at Marietta Memorial Hospital and was thereafter transported to the Washington County Jail on a warrant unrelated to the incident.

On 15 Apr 12 Sgt. Smeeks arrested Christopher M. Meadows, age 19, 2720 Beach Drive Apt. 3, Belpre, for possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigating a report of a suspicious male in the area, Sgt. Smeeks was given permission to enter the residence where Mr. Meadows was sleeping on a couch. On Mr. Meadows’ stomach, Sgt. Smeeks observed a pill container and bag of marijuana. Inside the pill container were six Xanax pills and half of a Vicodin pill. Sgt. Smeeks also discovered a marijuana pipe in Mr. Meadows’ pocket when he was being searched during his arrest.

On 15 Apr 12 Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriffs Caltrider and McPeek investigated a report of suspicious individuals in the area of the 800 block of Sandhill Road. In the vicinity of a nearby pond, the Deputies located the suspects, Daniel Sutton, age 20, Corrie Hague, age 20, both of 101 Arborgate Drive, Marietta, and Zachary Delo, age 20, 1410 Browns Road, Marietta. Noticing a cooler in the bed of Mr. Hague’s truck, the Deputies received permission to search the truck and Mr. Delo’s sedan. Inside the cooler the Deputies discovered several unopened cans of Bud Light and two bottles of Mad Dog that Mr. Hague admitted were his. A further search of the truck yielded a marijuana pipe that Mr. Hague also belonged to him. In the trunk of Mr. Delo’s vehicle, the Deputies found a bottle of wine belonging to Mr. Sutton and a small container that Mr. Delo said contained synthetic marijuana that was his. Arrested for underage possession of alcohol, Mr. Sutton was also found in possession of a marijuana pipe. Along with Mr. Sutton, Mr. Hague was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail. Deputy Sheriff McPeek requested a summons for Delo for possession of synthetic marijuana.
