On 12 Apr 12 Raymond Scarbrough, age 56, 27400
State Route 7 Lot 42, Marietta, reported he believes an unknown
suspect(s) intercepted his mail order delivery of his prescription
for diazepam on 7 Apr. This case remains under investigation
On 12 Apr 12 Deborah Adkins, age 30, 134 Shiloh
Road, Friendly, WV, reported sometime between 2 am and 6 am
an unknown suspect(s) tampered with the locks on the driver’s
side door and trunk of her vehicle while it was parked at her
mother’s residence at 319 McGill Road, Vincent. Gaining
access to the vehicle, the suspect(s) stole two iPhones, a PSP,
jewelry, prescription medications and other various items. Ms.
Adkins said the stolen property is worth approximately $4,300.
This case remains under investigation (1007).
On 12 Apr 12 Suzan Price, age 45, 1280 Salster
Road, Fleming, reported she visited a friend at the Station
Carryout for forty-five minutes that afternoon and during that
time an unknown suspect(s) stole two recently filled prescriptions
from her vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1007).
On 12 Apr 12 the Reno Fire Department transported
a forty-three year old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial
Hospital for treatment to a prescription drug overdose. Deputy
Sheriff McKee was at the victim’s residence to arrest
her on a warrant when she ingested a handful a pills and commented
that she wanted to fall asleep and not wake up.
On 12 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested
Sharon Kelly, age 43, 128 Wildwood Lake Road, Coolville, for
illegal cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Acting on investigative information, Deputies and Detectives
executed a search warrant at Ms. Kelly’s residence. At
the home, Deputies discovered a modified plastic tote that was
being utilized to grow marijuana hydroponically in a bathroom.
Six plants (see attached photos) weighing a total of 163 grams
were seized from the residence.
On 12 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts issued a
citation to Andrew W. Crouser, age 31, 11730 Veto Road, Marietta,
for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Metts stopped
Mr. Crouser on State Route 7 at Veto Road in Dunham Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Edward Morris Jr., age 28, Buckeye Lake,
OH, for abusing harmful intoxicants, possession of drug paraphernalia
and speeding, all misdemeanors. Morris was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Apr 12 at 3:55 am.
Amy Sue Brown, age 43, 300 Starlite Drive Lot
38, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Brown
was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Sheriff
McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr
12 at 6:28 am.
Bobbie Sue Davis, age 28, 19 High Street, Vincent,
for theft, a felony. Davis was picked up at the Lakin Correctional
Center in West Columbia, WV by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr 12 at 12:23 pm.
Sharon Christine Kelly, age 43, 128 Wildwood
Lake Road, Coolville, for illegal cultivation of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Kelly was
arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr 12 at 2:27 pm.
Rebecca Lou Sergent, age 21, 1320 Caywood Road,
Marietta, for failure to appear and for violating the terms
of her probation, both misdemeanors. Sergent was arrested at
her residence by Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 12 Apr 12 at 5:25 pm.
Rocky Darin Hayes, age 28, 45736 Ada Avenue,
Caldwell, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Hayes was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Heddleston of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Apr 12 at 6:21 pm.
Jason Bradley Whittaker, age 34, 22781 State
Route 60, Beverly, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Whittaker was arrested
in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department
